So there is some sad news in Boston today. Many explosions erupted near the finish line of a marathon that was going on at the time. The police claim to be looking into the explosions but they had no further comments.
The Associated Press claims that the authorities were helping injured runners away from the scene, while bloodied and wounded onlookers were escorted to a medical tent originally meant for the runners.
Apparently a loud explosion was heard on the north side of Boylston Street, near a photo bridge that marks the finish line. Another explosion was heard several seconds later.
Local television stations showed ambulance's showing up on the scene. Pictures have already been posted online of injured runners.
The explosions were recorded to go off about four hours after the start of the men's race meaning several thousand runners had yet to cross the finish line.
Within minutes of the explosion media crews were crowding the area broadcasting the smoke from Boylston Street.
